Abstract series
I try to re-use, recycle and not let anything go to waste when I’m creating. Whenever I have leftover paints from other projects or the last bits of paint at the bottom of the tube, and even the old bits of paints others throw away, I collect them and use them up making abstract pictures. This doubles up as a meditative, relaxing art therapy task. If I’ve been concentrating too long on a thought out piece, or been sitting in my thoughts and emotions too long, then I’ll give myself some time to just play around on a canvas (or other materials) without thinking and just paint with senses and feeling. This usually makes me feel much lighter afterwards :)
Pink Lava
I noticed I was getting too bogged down in over thinking my pictures - always creating things overly complicated (which I love) but I wanted to try something more about the action and the doing rather than the content. So this was much more about art therapy and switching off my mind. I found it to be very meditative and calming.

Galaxy mini
So this was much more about art therapy and switching off my mind. I found it to be very meditative and calming. It was also about finding my child-play again and creating something that I wanted to for fun just because I love it. night skies and galaxy patterns with glitter and glow in the dark beads just make me happy :)

Orange Marble
I’ve been making this mini canvas series with two intentions.
1.) to use up all the leftover paint from any other paintings so there is no wastage (as well as the canvases all being found, saved or donated)
2.) for art therapy. To get out of my head and sometimes practise just being in the moment and creating for fun, feeling and meditation.
